AirDome has been designed to improve growth and yield by increasing the oxygen content in the pot. More oxygen means a healthier root zone and greater water and nutrient uptake, optimizing the final size and production of the plants.
In AirDome trials with Luffa plants, a 130% increase in yield was tested! For more common fruit-bearing plant varieties, however, an excellent yield increase of 30% is guaranteed!
How to use AirDome
These domes are very simple to use and take less than 30 seconds to assemble: Place the AirDome at the bottom of the pot, cover it with compost, and then connect it to an air pump.
To maximize the effectiveness of AirDome, use a "fluffy" mix, such as 50% good quality compost and 50% perlite (avoid peat-based compost as it compresses, reducing the effectiveness of the AirDome).
If using AirDome with large systems, the use of larger pumps that allow for the connection of 16 mm tubing (standard flexible hose) is recommended. Never blow cold air into the root zone, only warm air.
