Bergamot is a citrus fruit of Calabrian origin, a evergreen plant from the Rutaceae family. The resulting essential oil, extracted by cold pressing, has excellent antiseptic, healing, and anti-inflammatory properties. Thanks to these qualities, the oil was introduced in the medical field for the disinfection of operating sites and for the treatment of rotting wounds. It normalizes sebum production and promotes skin microcirculation; for these reasons, it is indicated for oily and acne-prone skin. It is also an excellent deodorant and is particularly used in aromatherapy as the scent of its essence promotes a relaxed and joyful state of mind.

Lavandula Angustifolia Oil

Lavender is a small perennial shrub of the Lamiaceae family native to the Mediterranean area. Its scent is fresh, penetrating, and long-lasting; in fact, it is often used as a fragrance for rooms or closets (sachets). The inflorescences and leaves of lavender are very rich (1%-5%) in a volatile essential oil with a complex composition, consisting of various terpene alcohols. The most important of these is linalool, the essence responsible for the main therapeutic properties of lavender. Lavender has purifying, antiseptic, balsamic, and anti-inflammatory properties. For external use, in particular, it exerts a purifying and healing activity. It is indicated for the treatment of seborrhea and dandruff because it stimulates superficial microcirculation. Its essence is excellent for children as some minor childhood ailments (colic, irritability, colds, nocturnal restlessness, etc.) can be relieved by a massage with lavender oil or simply by putting a few drops of the essence on a pillow or in an aroma diffuser.
