The waterproof AD11 pH Digital Tester is a meter with automatic temperature compensation and 2-point calibration (pH 4 – pH 7), making it a fairly high-level instrument, even if not strictly professional-grade.
If you are looking for a simple-to-use and reliable tool for pH measurement at a reasonable price, the AD11 pH Digital Tester could be a good choice.
Calibration, which should be performed periodically, is quick and easy: turn on the tester, press the on/off button again and hold it until the text "CAL" appears on the display, then release the button and "PH7 USE" will appear on the display.
At this point, immerse the tester in the corresponding pH7 calibration liquid pouch; "REC" will appear, and after a few seconds, the first calibration point will be set and the text "PH4 USE" will appear.
Remove the tester and immerse it in the pH4 liquid pouch, wait a few seconds again, and "REC" will appear once more; when the second point is set, the text "OK" will appear on the display, and you can remove the instrument, which will now be perfectly calibrated.
Upon turning it on, the instrument performs a display check for a few seconds and then enters pH measurement mode.
The instrument comes pre-calibrated and ready to use; for verification, we measured some mineral water: the label on the bottle indicates a pH of 6.9, our measurement was pH 6.8—a very acceptable difference.
The package includes 4.01 and 7.01 calibration solutions.
