Phytolite CFL circuits have been designed to achieve a power factor of 0.97 (the maximum being 1), which makes Phytolite lamps the best-performing CFLs on the market, given that the average power factor of CFL lamps sold to date is 0.55.
The power factor is a measure of how efficient or inefficient the electrical energy used is.
These types of lamps are among the most used by gardeners for indoor cultivation, and it is easy to understand why; there are numerous advantages to growing with low-consumption, cool-light, high-performance lamps. Furthermore, they do not require an external ballast as an electronic ballast is already built into the structure.
